Palm Springs Sands Hotel and Spa

Every year I struggle to think of something fun to do on my birthday. This year I decided to take a trip to Palm Springs and it was honestly the best birthday I’ve had so far. I decided to stay at the Sands Hotel and Spa which is about fifteen minutes passed Palm Springs. Lets just say the pink aesthetic and possibility of endless drinks at the pool really sucked me in.

PARKING:

For some reason I was reading numerous reviews from people saying that the parking was difficult to find. You’ll see the valet standing at the booth in front of the hotel. Pull up and let them know you’re parking as a guest of the hotel. They will offer you the option to self-park or valet. Tell them you want to self park (because it’s free) and they can move a cone from one of the spots for you.

Check-In:

Walk through the black doors and the check-in desk will be on your right. They have fresh tea that they make and offer to you while they are getting you checked in. Check-in time is 4:00 PM! I requested an early check-in, but they weren’t able to get a room ready in advance for us. If you arrive early they can hold your bags until your room is ready and have someone bring them up. You can also hang out at the pool or restaurant until your room is available which is what we decided to do.

Room:

The room is just as cute and cozy as the rest of the hotel. The bathroom, yes the bathroom, is decor GOALS! I am convinced that I need to buy a house and do renovations to make my bathroom look like this. The TV has tons of different apps and you can stream with your phone. There’s also a full on bar in the room with glasses, mixers, and different alcohols. You can order room service if you prefer and eat it on your patio if you don’t feel like going to their on-site restaurant

Pink Cabana Cafe:

The Pink Cabana Cafe is the restaurant on-site at the hotel. The design of this place is just as picturesque as the rest of the hotel. The food and drinks are delicious, but they aren’t cheap so be careful! You can charge everything to your room and let me tell you, that out of site out of mind thing really works in the hotels favor. The pink lemonade is a must try! It was probably my favorite drink that they offered. You are able to eat here even if you’re not a guest at the hotel, but reservations are recommended. I’ll link the menus below as well as what time and days the food is served until. They have a small snacks menu available through out the day if you miss getting food during their normal hours.

Breakfast Menu 8:30 am- 10:30am Monday-Friday

Brunch Menu 8:00am- 2:30pm Saturday and Sunday

Lunch Menu 11:00 am- 3:00pm Monday-Friday

Dinner Menu Monday-Sunday 5:30pm- 9:00pm open until 10pm on Friday and Saturday

Pool:

The pool area is great because there’s so many areas to sit. I hate going to a hotel and the pool is impossible to enjoy because every chair is taken or the cabanas are an extra charge. You can also get food and drinks by the pool, so there’s really no need to ever move.

Spa:

The spa is a must see even if you’re not getting anything done there. The Moroccan theme is beautiful and I honestly don’t think I’ve seen a more stunning spa before. The services are on the pricey side, but worth it if you’re willing to splurge. I’ll leave a link below to the spa services where you can get pricing and information on how to book. Reservations are a must at the spa and no cancellations can be made once you’re 24 hours away from your booking.

Check-out:

Check-out time is at 12:00 pm unless you choose to request a later check-out. Keep in mind that late check-out requests will be charged a $100 late check-out fee. We decided to check-out at 12:00, put out bags in our car, and still hang out at the pool for a few hours. You can still order food and drinks to be charged to your room after check-out so there’s really no need to pay $100 more just to have your bags in your room.

I honestly loved this hotel so much and I can’t wait to come back! Let me know if you’ve  been before or if you end up going! I would love to hear what you thought about it.
